The authors establish a method, based on invariant foliations, of numerical computation of the local stable and the local unstable manifold of a hyperbolic and pseudo-hyperbolic fixed point of a diffeomorphism. They present a description of the method (with a proof of supporting theorems), an efficient algorithm, some numerical issues and two interesting examples.
