Vibrations of a compressible fluid in a cavity of an arbitrary form closed by membrane supported by a screen are studied. The equations governing the behaviour of a system are obtained. When the cavity has cylindrical form, explicit expressions for eigenvalues are given. In the general case, a variational formulation is proposed and the existence of eigenvalues is proved.
