It is known that classical implicit and explicit methods lead for long term solutions to solving systems with large size matrices. On the model of a multidimensional heat transfer problem the authors study four model reduction methods to circumvent this difficulty. Numerical experiments show, as the authors write, that ``results are encouraging and attractive especially for the purpose of simulation and control problems''.
