    The authors study plane sampling methods and some related geometrical problems using the notations of \textit{T. Dalenius}, \textit{J. Hájek} and \textit{S. Zubrzycki} [Proc. 4th Berkeley Symp. Math. Stat. Probab. 1, 125- 150 (1961; Zbl 0213.438)]. The purpose of the work is to give the extremal system of circles, if their centers form a regular plane lattice.
