Hosoi and Ono raised the following problem: Is it true that if a consistent extension \(L\) of intuitionistic propositional logic Int has the disjunction property then the disjunction-free fragment of \(L\) is the same as the disjunction-free fragment of Int? The author gives a new proof of the positive solution to this problem.
