The paper is concerned with the numerical solution of the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation. A fourth-order implicit two-step scheme is constructed which provides a high-order phase lag and a large interval of periodicity. The method is a parametrized generalization of the ``usual'' fourth-order multipoint formula. The results are illustrated by numerical examples.
