The author makes use of some formulas from the theory of basic hypergeometric series to show how to clear images blurred by a Gaussian blur and a modified Gaussian blur. He compares his result with the solution of \textit{B. B. Kimia} and \textit{S. W. Zucker} [Analytic inverse of discrete Gaussian blur, Optical Eng. 32, 166-176 (1993)].
