Graph products of groups and group spaces (Q1895170)

A compressed exposition of the basic notions of Bass-Serre theory up to the structure theorem is elaborated. Groups acting on graphs and the resulting notion of a graph of groups, which is necessary to establish the structure theorem, are considered. The results around the structure theorem are applied to spaces \(V(G, X)\) induced by a transitive group action \(G\) on \(X\). Concluding prospects indicate a way for generalizing the methods from a categorial point of view.
