The equation \(u_t = u^\alpha (\Delta u + u)\) with the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition is studied. A sufficient condition for blow- up is given and an estimate of the blow-up times is found. Under some assumptions it is shown that the blow-up set has positive measure and a result on the asymptotic behavior near the blow-up time is derived.
