It has been pointed out to the authors that in Section 5 of the above paper [Invent. Math. 104, 1-59 (1991; Zbl 0724.17012)] they are implicitly using a non-obvious Mackey type result when they apply the results of Section 4. Here they show that the result they need follows in fact quite easily from arguments in their paper.
