A supplementary note on the dynamics of the model of gametophytic incompatibility (Q1896601)

It has been brought to the present authors' attention that some of the statements in their recent paper on aspects of the global dynamics of the deterministic model of gametophytic incompatibility [ibid. 32, No. 6, 515-520 (1994; Zbl 0802.92011)] which refer to corresponding results obtained by \textit{T. Nagylaki} [Genetics 79, 545-550 (1975)] might give rise to misunderstanding and might therefore need clarification and rectification. The main points addressed concern: 1. the relation of local analyses near the boundaries of the frequency simplex to global analyses, 2. the dynamics of unordered as opposed to ordered genotypes, and 3. asymptotic oscillations of genotypic frequencies.
