The authors establish a \((q_1, q_2, \ldots, q_k)\) refinement of a theorem of \textit{L. Carlitz}, \textit{R. Scoville} and \textit{T. Vaughan} [Enumeration of pairs of permutations, Discrete Math. 14, 215-239 (1976; Zbl 0322.05008)] on restricted and unrestricted \(k\)-tuples of permutations.
