Multilevel birth and death and branching processes have been introduced in recent years. In these processes not only individuals can undergo birth-death or branching but also whole colonies may multiply or disappear as a result of a higher level mechanism. In addition these hierarchical systems of particles can be located in a space in which they undergo random walk or spatial diffusion. The corresponding measure- valued diffusion limit process is formulated and a lower bound on the carrying dimension of the topological support is obtained.
