In the authors' book `Invariant distances and metrics in complex analysis' (1993; Zbl 0789.32001), all complex geodesics in convex complex ellipsoids are described (cf. Theorem 8.4.2). Here a simpler proof using a stronger transport Lemma is given. [For part I of the underlying paper see Ann. Sc. Norm. Super. Pisa, Cl. Sci. IV. Ser. 20, No. 4, 535-543 (1993; Zbl 0812.32010)].
