This paper considers a five point discretization of a particular first- order boundary value problem (BVP) of an ordinary differential equation (ODE), which leads to the necessity of solving an antisymmetric linear system with a banded five diagonal structure. It is shown that this system can be solved by a Cimmino type algorithm and a numerical example is included to illustrate its behaviour.
