Oscillators as Chua's circuit can be used for the generation of musical signals by varying the control parameters (the linear and nonlinear characteristics) of the system itself. In this paper Chua' oscillator, which is capable of generating a range of signals from simple periodic to chaotic ones, is discussed as a signal generator. Technical informations are presented how to set up experimental and performance environments like graphical interfaces to control an arbitrary high-dimensional parameter space.
