In geophysical well exploration for calculating the reserves of hydrocarbon one uses physical measurements for obtaining a mathematical model. The equations are obtained as regression equations of certain parameters of the rock to geophysical parameters or from general physical considerations or finally by matching available heterogeneous data. Here, the geophysical parameters are considered as fuzzy numbers and the solutions of models are obtained from fuzzy systems of algebraic equations. The problem of solving a fuzzy linear system of algebraic equations is reduced to a nonlinear programming problem.
