The author considers the uniqueness of positive solutions of the nonlinear second order system \(- u'' = g(v)\), \(- v'' = f(u)\) in \((- R,R)\) with \(u(\pm R) = v (\pm R) = 0\), where \(f,g \in C^1 (R)\) and satisfy conditions \(0 < g(v) \leq vg'(v)\); \(0 < f(u) \leq uf'(u)\). A method uses the one-dimensional maximum principle.
