A numerical method for vanishing-lag delay differential equations (Q1901534)

This paper presents a numerical method for solving vanishing-lag delay differential equations. For asymptotically vanishing-lag as \(t \to \infty\), once the lag is sufficiently small, the solution is continued by solving an ordinary differential equation which approximates the original delay equation. Numerical tests with a Fortran program SYSDEL show that the theoretical results are valid in practice. The code is available from the authors.
