A successful attempt to use the concept of a Jacobi matrix in the theory of binary nonlinear sequential machines is made. Sufficient conditions based on Boolean differential calculus concepts for the local controllability, observability, and functional diagnosability of a binary nonlinear sequential machine in the neighborhood of a desired path, are found and the analog of the Jacobi matrix of the system expressed with Boolean functions is established.
