An approximate method for solving turbulent velocity correlation functions is applied to channel flows. First, the equations of mean motion and those of double velocity correlation while neglecting the triple velocity correlation are solved, and the results obtained are introduced into the equation for turbulent fluctuation. The equation is solved numerically on the micro-scale level by means of a spectral method and finite differences. Finally, the higher order fluctuating velocity correlations are obtained by averaging fluctuating velocity.
