Harmonic maps and associated maps from simply connected Riemann surfaces into the 3-dimensional space forms (Q1902885)

The author introduces equations on Riemann surfaces whose solutions are considered to be a generalization of simply connected, constant mean curvature surfaces in 3-dimensional space forms. The author shows that under certain conditions there exists a natural bijection between the sets of solutions of two such equations.
