Building on the classical KKM principle, the authors prove an existence result for continuous convex maps which may be considered as the ``best approximation analogue'' of \textit{F. E. Browder's} fixed point principle proved in Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. USA 76, 4749-4751 (1977; Zbl 0375.47028).
