After establishing a principle on dimension reduction, the author gives explicitly some necessary and sufficient conditions for the absolute stability of discrete Lurie systems when the matrix \(A\) is Schur stable, i.e., the spectralradius \(R(A)< 1\), provided an infinite sector condition holds. Some sufficient algebraic criteria for the same systems under a finite sector condition are given, too.
