The authors are concerned with the radial solutions for the nonlinear elliptic equation \[ F(x, u, Du, D^2 u)= f(|x|, u, |Du|)+ g(|x|, u, |Du|). \] By means of the Schauder-Tychonoff fixed point theorem the existence of the radial bounded and unbounded positive solutions and their asymptotic behaviour near infinity as well as nonexistence questions are investigated.
