Reliability of technical systems is closely linked with the ``aging'' properties of the components. So-called monotone systems whose components have certain aging characteristics are of considerable importance in this field of research. Efficient bounds on reliability, mean time to failure, and other parameters can be obtained for such systems. The bounds in the author's paper, Autom. Remote Control 52, No. 1, 121-125 (1991); translation from Avtom. Telemekh 1991, No. 1, 149-154 (1991; Zbl 0731.60081), were obtained under the least restrictive assumptions on aging. Here the author generalizes some results of that paper to the case of even more general aging principles; specifically, when the system components are HNBUE, HNWUE, NBAFR, NWAFR in terms of their reliability properties.
