A protostar formation is modeled by two colliding current carrying filaments that gravitationally interact. The model involves the magnetic field reconnection process and the radiative cooling. The numerical simulations of the stellar evolution indicate the existence of three phases in the temporal temperature variation. The initial sudden temperature raise is followed by a slower temperature decrease with a final fast condensation phase that depends on the values of the initial parameters.
