The paper treats the velocity-vorticity version of the stationary Stokes equations for viscous incompressible fluid in a bounded domain. The equivalence of the original system and the velocity-vorticity formulation is proved in both two- and three-dimensional spaces. The equivalence with the variational form is demonstrated, too.
