Applications of semigroup theory to neutron transport have been strongly developed in the past. It is thus curious that the classical book by \textit{A. Belleni-Morante} [Applied semigroups and evolution equations (1979; Zbl 0426.47020)] is not even quoted in the paper, which carries out a detailed analysis of the Cauchy problem for the equation of neutron transfer.
