The author considers a 1-dimensional singularly perturbed system of two reaction-diffusion equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions. The diffusion rate of one species is much smaller than that of the other. Using the perturbation methods, he finds equilibrium solutions with internal layers and studies their stability properties. The paper contains many figures which show the results of numerical simulations.
