The author considers special sequences of the net type (\(LP_\tau\)-sequences of Sobol') and obtains best possible upper bounds for the diaphony and for the \(L^2\)-discrepancy (in the case of symmetrized sequences) of order \(O(N^{-1} (\log N)^{1/2})\).
