The paper presents estimates for the Dirichlet eigenfunction and their gradients for a class of two-dimensional domains with fractal boundaries. This class includes bounded simply connected John domains, and the special case when a domain is bounded by the Koch snowflake curve. The physical applications are the analysis of damping of waves by fractal coastlines.
