The author extends \textit{E. Witten's} approach to Morse inequalities [J. Differ. Geom. 17, 661-692 (1982; Zbl 0499.53056)] to Morse functions defined on an oriented compact manifold with boundary (the function has no critical points on the boundary and its restriction to the boundary is also a Morse function).
