\textit{P. Griffiths} and \textit{J. Harris} introduced [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér., IV. Sér. 12, 355-423 (1979; Zbl 0426.14019)] a normal form for curves in Grassmannians. This consists of a natural (not necessarily unique) description from several representations of the curve in projective spaces. This description is adapted to the differential geometry of the curve in the Grassmannian. The author provides an elementary and elegant proof of the existence of such normal form.
