A theoretical analysis is given for the mud flow in a concentric annulus geometry which corresponds to the flow moving through the wellbore full of drilling fluid in petroleum industry. The Robertson-Stiff model is used, and the momentum equation is given for one-dimensional case. This allows to find the pressure surge, the volumetric flow rate, and the size of plug flow region.
