On the shape of projective plane algebraic curves (Q1910653)

By a result of F. Bogomolov, we know that there are no finite upper bounds for the diameter of algebraic curves in the projective plane, with respect to the Study-Fubini metric. The author shows here that, in fact, for any metric tree \(T\) equipped with a path metric and for any \(\epsilon >0\), there exists an \(\epsilon\)-isometric embedding of \(T\) into some non-singular plane algebraic curve.
