The author proves that transfer matrices of fractals (TMFs) are diagonalizable, in particular, the TMF of an ``\(E\)-chessboard'' is diagonalizable. Moreover, the biorthogonality of their left and right eigenvectors holds in the random case and the case not arising from geometrical constructions. When the geometric situation has symmetries, the TMFs, being of lesser dimensionality, are investigated also and similar results are obtained.
