The equations of generalized theories of thermoelasticity for one-dimensional problems including heat sources and body forces are cast into matrix form using the state space and Laplace transform techniques. The resulting formulation is applied to the problems for the whole space with plane distribution of heat sources and body forces. The inversion of the Laplace transforms is carried out by using a numerical approach.
