The rotational motion of a satellite in a circular orbit under the influence of magnetic torque is studied in non-resonance and resonance cases. By using Melnikov's method, we have shown that the equation of motion is non-integrable. Taking the magnetic torque perturbation to be small \((\varepsilon\ll 1)\) and using BKM method, it is observed that the amplitude of the oscillation remains constant up to the second order of approximation. The main resonance has been also shown to exist.
