Let \(\ell\) be an \(n\)-th order differential expression on \([0,1]\) together with two-point boundary conditions. The first expansions into eigenfunctions and associated functions have been obtained by comparison to expansions into trigonometric functions. Ever since these equiconvergence results have attracted much attention. In this paper an estimate for the rate of equiconvergence on compact subintervals of [0,1] is proved, involving several moduli of continuity.
