The averaging finite difference scheme is adopted to simulate the high Reynolds number flows with irregular boundaries. A two-dimensional flow around a semicircular obstacle is taken as the calculation example, and the first order wall vorticity formula for irregular mesh derived earlier by the authors is chosen to calculate the wall vorticity. The simulations were carried out for Reynolds numbers \(\text{Re}= 43, 100, 300, 500, 1000\) and \(10 000\). The curve of separated angle or reattached length are given as functions of Reynolds number.
