This paper presents theory and algorithm to analyse shells undergoing finite elastic and finite plastic strains and rotations. Logarithmic strain rates are appropriate measures to formulate constitutive and evolution equations for finite elastoplasticity with isotropic and kinematic hardening. Finally, the principle of virtual work with corresponding elastic-plastic material tensor is formulated. Summarizing, this paper is of great importance to all scientists studying shell theories.
