The author studies two schemes for accelerating the convergence of the iterative solution of nonlinear equation systems, like the Broyden and the Anderson methods. Furthermore, he has investigated in detail the modified Broyden method introduced by \textit{D. Vanderbilt} and \textit{S. G. Louie} [Phys. Rev. B 30, 6118 (1984)]. Also, several schemes and examples are given.
