An algorithm is developed by using vertical numerical mode-matching method to find the Green's function of static-steady field in axially symmetric inhomogeneous media. The formulation is given totally in matrix form, which could be treated easily with microcomputers. Furthermore, no numerical integration is needed throughout the simulation process. The efficiency of the algorithm can be about 100 times higher that of the finite element method.
