The author studies two kinds of average \(n\)-widths which describe best and best linear approximation of the Wiener space \(C\) over all \(n\)-dimensional subspaces in the \(L_q\) norm. For the case \(2\leq q< \infty\), it is proved that the \(n\)-widths \(d_n\) decrease asymptotically as \(n^{-1/2}\).
