By improving a theorem given in our previous paper [Analytic function theory of one complex variable, Pitman Res. Notes Math. Ser. 212, 123-148 (1989; Zbl 0683.30027)], we showed the existence of totally disconnected compact sets \(E\) of positive capacity such that any meromorphic function having \(E\) as its singularity set cannot be exceptionally ramified at each singularity.
