Existence and uniqueness of the periodic orbits of a class of cylinder equations (Q1915591)

The author considers the Liénard equation (1) \(\ddot x + f(x) \dot x + g(x) = 0\) on a cylinder, i.e., he assumes the functions \(f\), \(g\) to be \(2 \pi\)-periodic in \(x\). He investigates the global behavior of the solutions of (1) and obtains certain sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of periodic orbits.
