The author considers projective mappings of compact oriented Riemannian manifolds \(M\to N\) from the global point of view. The manifolds \(M\) and \(N\) have unequal dimensions and the mappings are of arbitrary rank. It can be proved that such mappings are affine with additional conditions on the sectional curvature and the Ricci curvature of \(M\). Remark: The results of \S 6 follow from the reviewer's paper [Math. Publ. (Opava), 1, 143-149 (1993)].
