In this paper the authors studied four types of quadratic spline interpolants for which they obtain error bounds of the form \[ \bigl|(f-s)^{(k)} \bigr|_\infty \leq C_k h^{3-k} |f^{(3)} |_\infty (k=0,1,2, \dots). \] Moreover, the optimality of the constant \(C_0\) is proved.
