On certain inequalities for means. II (Q1916828)

The author offers new proofs and extensions of inequalities published by \textit{M. K. Vamanamurthy} and \textit{M. Vuorinen} in J. Math. Anal. Appl. 183, No. 1, 155-166 (1994; Zbl 0802.26009) and also new inequalities. Something old -- something new is in the following: Gauss's medium arithmetico-geometricum lies between the geometric and arithmetic mean of \(A\) and \(G\), the arithmetic and geometric means of two positive numbers.
